Why SENspot exists
Finding the right activities shouldn’t be this hard.
Finding things to do with my son often felt harder than it should.
We were not just looking for something to do. We were looking for somewhere he would be understood. Somewhere the sensory environment was not going to overwhelm him before we had even got through the door.
Like many parents, I spent hours searching websites, asking in Facebook groups and relying on word of mouth. Sometimes we found somewhere brilliant. Sometimes we arrived and realised it was not right, and that is a difficult thing to explain to a child who was so excited to go.
The information was out there. It was just scattered everywhere.
That is why I built SENspot: to make it easier for families to discover activities, events and opportunities that genuinely fit their child.
